SIMONE ROCHA Best Looks Spring 2024 London – Fashion Channel
Simone Rocha’s Spring 2024 collection, titled "The Dress Rehearsal," was a whimsical and unconventional affair. The show was held at the English National Ballet HQ, but instead of dance-related entertainment, Rocha presented a collection that was full of surreal and unexpected elements.
A theme of roses ran throughout the collection, from 3-D whorls of fabric to real, long-stemmed pale pink roses stuffed inside sheer garments. As the show went on, birthday and wedding cakes took over from roses, with swagged effects imitating old-fashioned icing sugar rendered across bouncy crinolines and even a men’s marching shirt and shorts combo.
The collection was also notable for its mix of the strange and the practical. Taffeta tracksuits and chunky platforms walked alongside sheer dresses and delicate embroidery. It was a truly unique and memorable collection from one of London’s most exciting designers.
