This collection showcases a variety of neutral shades and palettes, with beads that have a more realistic quality. I’ve always incorporated fancier materials like crystals, but now I’m incorporating wood elements to infuse a natural aesthetic into the world of couture."
The incorporation of natural materials finds its inspiration in Tropicalia, a late 1960s musical movement rooted in Brazil, Patricia Bonaldi’s homeland. She explains, "Tropicalia was boho with a tropical twist. I believe I’m reinventing that era in Brazil in a modern context. This collection is a celebration of textures and the fusion of diverse elements. My brand has never embraced minimalism, and I relish experimenting with materials."
