Anti-Semitic insults, racial hatred, and homophobia are the darkest aspects that permeate the Meloni Youth, as revealed in the investigation conducted by Backstair, the investigative unit of Fanpage.it.
Following the publication of the first part of our undercover video investigation, the Meloni government chose a strategy of silence, downplaying the findings. However, radical positions are also expressed by individuals who have supported or still collaborate with the top leaders of Brothers of Italy over the years, such as Undersecretary of Health Marcello Gemmato, MP Ylenja Lucaselli, and MP Giovanni Donzelli, the national head of the organization for Brothers of Italy.
Racist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic insults are frequent at the fringes of the party’s political and organizational events, as well as in the youth movement’s chat groups. This behavior is made even more concerning by the presence of Senator Ester Mieli at Casa Italia, who is a former spokesperson for the Jewish community and vice-chair of the Segre Commission on anti-Semitic hatred.
Numerous former members of National Youth from all over Italy confirm the sharing of such extreme positions. After seeing our work, they decided to contact the Fanpage.it’s investigative unit to share their experiences within the party.
